Matthew2:6 And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will govern my people Israel.’
1Peter
5:1So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ as well as a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed.
5:2 Tend the flock of God that is your charge, not by constraint but willingly, not for shameful gain but eagerly,
5:3 not as domineering over those in your charge but being examples to the flock.
5:4 And when the chief Shepherd is manifested you will obtain the unfading crown of glory.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account.
Acts 14:21 When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God
14:23And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed
Acts 14:[1] 19 But Jews came there from Antioch and Ico’nium; and having persuaded the people, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.
14:20 But when the disciples gathered about him, he rose up and entered the city; and on the next day he went on with Barnabas to Derbe.
Acts 20:28Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God which he obtained with the blood of his own Son.
20:29 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
20:30 and from among your own selves will arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
20:31 Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears.
20:32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
1 Timothy 3:14-15 I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.
Titus 1:9 He must hold firm to the sure word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to confute those who contradict it.
1:10 For there are many insubordinate men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially the circumcision party;
1:11 they must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for base gain what they have no right to teach.
1:12 One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
1:13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
1:14 instead of giving heed to Jewish myths or to commands of men who reject the truth.
1:15 To the pure all things are pure, but to the corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are corrupted.
1:16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their deeds; they are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good deed.
Ephesians 4:11And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
4:12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
4:13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ;
4:14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
If you put these instructions before the brethren, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
1 Timothy 4:6If you put these instructions before the brethren, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
4:7 Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness;
4:8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
4:9 The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance.
4:10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
4:11 Command and teach these things.
4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
4:13 Till I come, attend to the public reading of scripture, to preaching, to teaching.
4:14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophetic utterance when the council of elders laid their hands upon you.
4:15 Practice these duties, devote yourself to them, so that all may see your progress.
4:16 Take heed to yourself and to your teaching; hold to that, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
1 Thessalonians 5:12 But we beseech you, brethren, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
5:13 and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves
